Kippsy closes early stage funding round, the new collaborative accommodation platform has completed an early stage round with Jenson Seed EIS funding and a group of high net worth individuals.

The Jenson Seed EIS Fund is an exciting joint venture between the professional services firm Jenson Solutions and the fund manager Foresight Group.

Kippsy has identified a significant market gap for London visitors who are increasingly selecting self-contained apartments instead of hotel rooms.

The platform has already attracted in excess of 300 London properties and Kippsy's aim is to be the market leading service for this sector encompassing economy to high-end properties whilst delivering a return on investment for investors.

The founder, Phil Cooper has strong previous experience in digital businesses. His first digital venture started in 1999. The 3rd age site, was sold to a mature marketing company in 2004 with over a million users and 100,000 registered members.

In 2005 he launched Utarget as Europe’s first online video advertising network.

Utarget grew to 65 staff across 5 countries and was sold to Fox International Channels (Newscorp) for an undisclosed 8-figure sum.

Phil commented, “Kippsy provides access to a London lifestyle not well catered for by hotels. This funding round allows us to advance our marketing reach and consolidate on the firm foundations of our tech platform and property inventories.”
